Woody Harrelson ("EdTV," "People Vs. Larry Flint," "Natural Born Killers") has signed on to star in a Roundabout Theatre Company revival of N. Richard Nash's Rainmaker, according to a June 10 report in Variety.
The show will be presented at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre in November 1999. The Atkinson is not a usual venue for The Roundabout, but the company lost its Criterion Center Broadway home last month and is currently awaiting the completion of renovations to their new Broadway home at 42nd Street's Selwyn Theatre.
Scott Ellis (1776, Steel Pier) will direct the revival, after helming a production of the play at the Williamstown Theatre Festival last summer. Jayne Atkinson (Lincoln Center's Ivanov, How I Learned to Drive) will co-star.
