News Harris, Kandel, Bienskie, Howard and Goodwin Set for Silence! Reading Two staged industry readings of Silence! The Musical — winner of the 2005 FringeNYC award for Outstanding Musical — will be presented Feb. 5 at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre. Show times are 3 and 7 PM.

The readings of the musical, which is a parody of the Oscar-winning film "Silence of the Lambs," will feature the talents of Jenn Harris as Clarice and Paul Kandel as Hannibal Lecter as well as Diedre Goodwin, Lisa Howard, Howard Kaye and Tom Richter. Christopher Gattelli will direct and choreograph; Charlie Alterman will be the musical director.

Designers include Scott Pask, Jeff Croiter and David Kaley.

Silence! The Musical, according to press notes, "follows F.B.I. trainee Clarice Starling as she uses her relationship with Dr. Hannibal Lecter to hunt serial killer Buffalo Bill. The production transforms the film's dialogue into a full-scale musical, complete with singing serial killers, unprintable titles, and a chorus of tap-dancing lambs."

The industry readings are being presented by B Major Theatricals. For more information contact [email protected].

The McGinn Cazale Theatre is located in Manhattan at 2162 Broadway.
