The creator of Harry Potter says, “Harry is done now.”
The official West End opening of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts One and Two at London's Palace Theatre July 30, followed by the publication later that evening of the playscript, marks the end of the series.
J.K. Rowling, who wrote the first seven books and co-created the play with playwright Jack Thorne and director John Tiffany, said, “He goes on a very big journey during these two plays and then, yeah, I think we’re done. This is the next generation, you know. So, I’m thrilled to see it realised so beautifully but, no, Harry is done now.”
