The two-man comedy played a 2011 summer engagement at London's Garrick Theatre as part of a U.K. national tour. Written and performed by Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner, Potted Potter distills all seven Harry Potter books into 70 minutes. The Times reports that Clarkson, Turner and producer Corey Ross are working on a deal to play an Off-Broadway summer engagement at the Little Shubert Theatre on 42nd Street.
Clarkson and Turner also produced Potted Pirates and Potted Panto, the last of which was nominated for Best Entertainment in the Laurence Olivier Awards following its season at the Vaudeville Theatre at Christmas 2010.
The show is "recommended for muggles from the age of six to Dumbledore (who is very old indeed)." The U.K. production was directed by Richard Hurst, designed by Simon Scullion, composed by Phil Innes and produced by Seabright Productions.
