Baltimore's Center Stage Theatre is giving audiences something to chew on March 7-28 with Karen Hartman's world premiere play, Gum. Gum by Karen Hartman, is about two religious, adolescent sisters facing an arranged marriage and the rite of circumcision.
Resident director Tim Vasen tackles this cutting-edge project with actors Miriam A. Laube, Millie Chow, Joseph Kamal, Dale Soules (The Magic Show) and Danyon Davis. Set designer Myung Hee Cho, costume designer Anita Yavich, lighting designer Mathew Frey and sound designer Sten Severson make up the artistic team.
Previews began March 7 for a press opening March 12 and closing March 28. Tickets are $24-$29 and can be purchased at the CenterStage box office (700 North Calvert Street) or by phone at (410)332-0033.
