Set in the political and private world of Milk, a time that spanned the 1930's through the end of the '70's, Harvey Milk follows its subject from the opening of his camera shop on Castro Street through to his appointment as a San Francisco Board Supervisor. Soon after taking that position and authorizing the Gay Rights Ordinance, Milk and San Francisco Mayor George Moscone were assassinated Nov. 27, 1978.

Dan Pruitt wrote the book and lyrics with music by Patrick Hutchison. Their Harvey Milk was first produced in 1991 at Atlanta's Actors Express with a remounting as a part of the 1996 Olympics.

Tickets are $30-$13. The New Conservatory Theatre Center is located at 25 Van Ness Avenue. For information and tickets, call the NCTC box office at (415) 861-8972.
