“I guess you could say I’m crashing the party! I am both thrilled and terrified to step on stage for the last week of Party Face,” said Bearse in a statement. “Klea Blackhurst's characterization of ‘Bernie’ is party-perfect, but she will be off and running on a new project, leaving a window for me to re-join the fun. The joy of directing this production has been one of the highlights of my career. Who knew this play would offer me another Off-Broadway debut, bringing me out of acting retirement to perform alongside these fabulous actresses?!? What an amazing way to end our run!”

The New York premiere of Isobel Mahon’s Party Face, a comedy about a housewarming that spirals hilariously out of control, officially opened at City Center Stage 2 January 22. Leading the cast of the Off-Broadway production is Oscar winner Hayley Mills.

Party Face began performances January 11 and is scheduled to play through April 8 at City Center Stage 2, 131 West 55th Street.

Completing the cast are Gina Costigan, Brenda Meaney, and Allison Jean White. Blackhurst will play her final performance April 1.
