Dianne Wiest will be part of Classic Stage Company's 2007-08 season.

Rodrigo Garcia ("Nine Lives," "Big Love" and "Six Feet Under") executive produces and directs the series based on Hagai Levi's hit Israeli show. Stephen Levinson and Mark Wahlberg ("Entourage") also serve as executive producers.

The story follows Paul (Byrne), a "seemingly successful psychotherapist and family man [whose] professional and personal life are falling apart," according to an announcement. The conceit of the new series is unprecedented for an HBO series: the half-hour series will air nightly, Monday through Friday (at 9:30 ET/PT), starting Jan. 28.

Each night of the week is dedicated to one session with one of five main characters. The show will run nine weeks. (HBO will offer repeat airings and OnDemand options as well for viewers to keep up or catch up with previous episodes. Check local listings for schedules.)

Monday will find Byrne's character Paul dealing with Laura, "a beautiful young anesthesiologist " (played by Melissa George of "Alias"). Tuesday centers on Alex, "a Navy pilot" (Blair Underwood of "Dirty Sexy Money"). Wednesday will follow Sophie, "an aspiring Olympic gymnast" (Mia Wasikowska of "Suburban Mayhem"). On Thursday, we see Jake and Amy, a "sophisticated career woman and a struggling songwriter... in marriage counseling" (Josh Charles of "Sports Night" and Embeth Davidtz from "Junebug"). Friday will see a reversal of roles as Paul undergoes therapy himself with a former boss Gina (Dianne Wiest, Academy Award winner for "Hannah and Her Sisters"). Michelle Forbes ("Kalifornia," "Battlestar Galactica: Razor") will also appear as Paul's wife Kate.

Byrne — known for his film work in "The Usual Suspects," "Vanity Fair" and "Little Women" — earned a Tony Award nomination for his turn in the 2000 revival of A Moon for the Misbegotten. He returned to Broadway in 2005 starring in A Touch of the Poet. He also appeared in Off-Broadway's The Exonerated. He is joined in the small screen series by fellow stage folk Wiest (Salome, Beyond Therapy, Third, Memory House), Underwood (Measure for Measure) and Charles (The Receptionist, The Distance From Here).
