Angels, the new musical is aiming for Broadway, but before it hits the Main Stem, the creators are releasing a studio album of the show through Broadway Records.

With music by Ken Lai, lyrics by Marcus Cheong and a book by the pair, Angels is the “epic story of the ancient war between the Angels and Lucifer’s fallen minions.” The story is told from the point of view of Sera, the Angel of Light, who must find a way to overcome Lucifer and achieve her greater purpose.

The studio album, which will drop October 27, features two-time Tony nominee Laura Osnes (Bandstand, Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella), Tony nominee Robert Cuccioli as Lucifer (Jekyll & Hyde), as well as Tony nominee Josh Young (Jesus Christ Superstar), Alan H. Green (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Alexandra Zorn (Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella national tour), and more.
