Heathers will be produced at New Line in October 2015. Exact dates of production will be announced at a later date.

Here's how it's billed: "Based on one of the darkest teen comedies ever made, Heathers tells the story of Veronica Sawyer, a brainy teenage misfit who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High: The Heathers. But before she can get comfortable atop the high school food chain, Veronica falls in love with the dangerously sexy new kid JD. When Heather Chandler (Heather #1), kicks Veronica out of the group, all hell breaks loose, in one of the funniest and most disturbing comedies in years."
