Heidi Schreck is the recipient of the Dramatists Guild's 2018 Hull-Warriner Award for her Tony-nominated play What the Constitution Means to Me. The finalists named by the DG council are: Aleshea Harris for Is God Is; Bruce Norris for The Low Road; Mike Lew for Teenage Dick; Dael Orlandersmith for Until the Flood; and Ming Peiffer for Usual Girls.
Schreck's What the Constitution Means to Me continues its extended Broadway run at the Helen Hayes Theatre. In addition to Schreckreceiving Tony nods for Best Play and Actress in a Leading Role in a Play, the show has been nominated for a slew of awards this season, including two Drama League Awards, two Drama Desks, an Outer Critics Circle Award, and a Lucille Lortel Award. The play was also a finalist for the 2019 Pulitzer Prize and nominated for the 2019 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize.
Playwright and performer Schreck is the recipient of two Obie Awards, a Drama Desk, and the Theatre World Award.
