Herbert Fox, an entertainment manager who handled musicians, singers and actors for 50 years, died June 29 in Irvine, CA, according to The New York Times. Mr. Fox was 82, and worked for Columbia Artists Management. Inc., for many years. He reportedly helped found Broadway Theater Alliance, a touring theatre venture, and served on the boards of Opera Pacific and the Orange County High School of the Performing Arts.
He also served as chairman of Columbia Artists Festivals, which toured music, dance and theatre talent such as Mel Torme.
