Don't Touch That Dial II: The Spin Off, an extension of a hit revue of TV theme songs that played Milwaukee Repertory Theatre's Stackner Cabaret in 1997-98, begans there March 17.

Roger Bean created and directs the new show, drawing on the previous revue's concept of a game show about TV themes, "Don't Touch That Dial." In the show, contestant characters (and one lucky audience member) sing and act out their television memories in a battle of wits.

Official opening was March 18. Performances continue to May 7. The cast includes Russ Benton, April Black, Norman Sham and Sarah Sokolovic.

Designers are Maureen Chavez-Kruger (set), Jeffrey Lieder (costumes), Chester Loeffler-Bell (lighting). Brian Baker is musical director and arranger.

Tickets are $15-$25. Milwaukee Rep is at 108 E. Wells St. in downtown Milwaukee. Call (414) 224-9490 for information. -- By Kenneth Jones
