News He's Got Magic to Do: Ben Vereen Begins Feinstein's Run Feb. 6 The winter-spring 2007 season at Feinstein's at the Regency — the posh cabaret located within the Regency Hotel — kicks off Feb. 6 with the New York nightclub debut of Tony Award winner Ben Vereen.

An Intimate Evening with Ben Vereen will be offered at Feinstein's through Feb. 17. Vereen's show features songs from his Broadway outings as well as a tribute to the late Sammy Davis, Jr. A star of stage and screen, Ben Vereen made his Broadway debut in Jesus Christ Superstar, earning a Tony Award nomination for his performance. He nabbed the Tony for his work in Bob Fosse's production of Pippin and has also starred on Broadway in Grind, Jelly's Last Jam and Fosse. The recent revival of I'm Not Rappaport marked Vereen's non-musical Broadway debut. Vereen was nominated for Emmy Awards for his performances in "Roots," "Intruders" and 1976's "The Bell Telephone Jubilee." He also received Golden Globe nominations for his work in "Funny Lady" and "Ellis Island."

Vereen was most recently back on Broadway as the Wizard in Stephen Schwartz's Wicked.

Following Vereen, the Feinstein's season will continue with Diahann Carroll (March 6-17), Jackie Mason (April 10-21) and Linda Eder (May 1-12). The Sunday-Monday evening series at Feinstein's will boast Michael Cavanaugh (March 4-5), Judi Marie Canterino & Friends (April 15), Ron Gartner (April 16), Eileen Fulton (April 22, 23, 29 and 30), Jeff Harnar (May 6, 13, 20 and 27 and June 3, 10, 17 and 24), Harvey Granat (May 14 and 21) and Brandon Cutrell (June 4).
