Mike Poulton's new version of the classic Ibsen play will begin previews at the London venue May 15 with an official opening set for May 22. The limited engagement will run through July 5.

The cast will comprise Paul Hilton (Johannes Rosmer), Helen McCrory (Rebecca West), Paul Moriarty (Ulrik Brendel), Veronica Quilligan (Mrs Helseth), Malcolm Sinclair (Doctor Kroll) and Peter Sullivan (Peter Mortensgaard).

"For generations the house of Rosmer has been a stronghold of religious and political conservatism," press notes state, "but great changes are taking place at Rosmersholm. The tragic suicide of his wife and the influence of the mysterious Rebecca West bring former clergyman Rosmer's new libertarian beliefs into the light. But the past won't easily release him."

Rosmersholm will feature set design by Hildegard Bechtler, lighting design by Peter Mumford and sound design by Gareth Fry.
