Upon closing, the production had played 11 previews and 3 regular performances. No reason was given for the abrupt closure.
Written and directed by Clifford Streit, the comedy about homophobia in Hollywood starred Jon Fleming ("Dante's Cove," "Will & Grace"). Previews began March 10.
The cast also featured Todd Crain, Lindsay Goranson, Georgia X. Lifsher, James Sautter and Julian Mercer.
In Him, according to press notes, "hunky actor Nick Cooper has just landed his breakthrough film role and the offers from Hollywood's A-list are pouring in. The only problem: Nick is gay and his viper of an agent wants to keep him in the closet. Nick is happy to play along in spite of the vocal opposition of his boyfriend. But all hell breaks loose when a Latina bombshell is brought in to 'play' Nick's girlfriend."
The production team featured Josh Iacovelli (lighting and set design), Dustin Cross (costumes), Jonathan Santos (stage manager) and sound design by Juni Li.
