News Himself and Nora Announces Full Cast See who's joining Whitney Bashor and Matt Bogart in the new musical.

The full cast has been announced for Himself and Nora, a new musical that chronicles the love story between celebrated writer James Joyce and his muse, Nora Barnacle. Whitney Bashor (The Bridges of Madison County) and Jersey Boys’ Matt Bogart, as previously reported, will star as the literary lovers.

They will be joined by Michael McCormick (Chaplin), Zachary Prince (Honeymoon In Vegas), Lianne Marie Dobbs (A Tree Grows In Brooklyn), Gary Troy and Victoria Huston-Elem (The Addams Family). Performances will begin Off-Broadway May 14 at the Minetta Lane Theatre, with direction by Michael Bush.

The show features a book, music and lyrics by Jonathan Brielle and is set to officially open June 6.

“It was one of the world's great romances. She was the country girl from Galway whose burning sexuality and acerbic wit inspired the genius of James Joyce,” state production notes. “Himself and Nora is a passionate musical that reveals the private life of one of modern literature's most controversial figures and illustrates the untold story of Joyce's lifelong love and muse, Nora.”

The production features musical direction by James Sampliner, choreography by Kelli Barclay, set design by Paul Tate dePoo III, costume design by Amy Clark, lighting design by Jason Lyons and sound design by Keith Caggiano. Casting is by Geoff Josselson, general management by DR Theatrical Management, production management by Production Core and production stage management by CJ LaRoche.

Himself and Nora is produced by Cherie King and executive-produced by R. Erin Craig.
