The festivals of free staged readings will be presented by LAByrinth Theater Company at The Public Theater's LuEsther Hall as follows: Barn Series (Nov. 27-Dec. 15), Live Nude Plays (Dec. 16-17).
Both series "feature projects originally work-shopped at LAByrinth's annual Summer Intensive, and represent the next stage of play development at LAByrinth Theater Company," according to an announcement. Most readings are performed by actors with scripts in hand. "The Barn Series features plays that are more traditional in structure whereas Live Nude plays features work that are more experimental in form or presentation."

Ron Cephas Jones' Able Man (Dec. 17 at 10 PM) - dir. Salvatore Inzerillo All readings are free and open to the public and will play the Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street. There will be general admission on a first-come, first-served basis per show. No reservations are needed; patrons are advised to arrive at the theatre 30 minutes prior to the desired show.
