News Hoffman and McKay Set for Big Gay Variety Show Benefit Jackie Hoffman and Nellie McKay will be part of the second annual Big Gay Variety Show benefit at the downtown destination The Box on March 3.

The Box, the gilded hotspot owned and operated by Simon Hammerstein (grandson of Oscar Hammerstein II), will serve as the intimate setting for the 7 PM event, which will be hosted by nightlife entertainer Murray Hill.

In addition to Hoffman (Xanadu) and songstress McKay (Threepenny Opera), The Big Gay Variety Show will also feature transgender singer-songwriter Our Lady J, comedienne Poppi Kramer, Michael Carbonaro ("Another Gay Movie"), comedian Vidur Kapur, aerialist Una Mimnagh, Misnomer Dance Theater, Sean Curran Dance Company, the Sizzle Twins, the VGL Boys and the cabaret duo Mel and El.

All proceeds from the evening will benefit the New York Civil Liberties Union and their work on behalf of the LGBT community.

Tickets for the evening, priced $75, include an all-night open bar, raffle, auction and music by DJ Brenda Black. For tickets, visit BigGayShow.
