Three points of an odd romantic triangle will be played by Sean Hayes, M. Darlene Hunt and Steve Shenbaum, when a workshop mounting of Platonically Incorrect takes the stage for two nights, June 27-28, upstairs at Off-Broadway's Westside Theatre. The hourlong comedy features Hayes, a Second City alumnus and Emmy winner for his role on NBC TV's "Will & Grace," as an ex-boyfriend who, the actor told the New York Times, is "not so bright and in love with his truck." Actress and stand-up comedienne Hunt penned the play, which was developed and directed by Abby Epstein. The latter's credits include national tours of Rent and The Vagina Monologues (which coincidentally plays in the downstairs space of the Westside). The Westside Theatre's upstairs space is currently home to another comic look at the relationship scene, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change.
For tickets ($20) and information on Platonically Incorrect at the Westside Theatre, 407 West 43rd Street, call (212) 239-6200.
