SEATTLE -- Developed from workshop directly with its author, Lawrence Krauser's Horrible Child is getting a full production by Seattle's innovative fringe theatre, Printers Devil, opening Feb. 5.

Krauser told Playbill On-Line he hopes the production will be "entertaining and provocative."

Directed by Paul Willis, Printer's Devil 's co-Artistic director, Horrible Child is the story of a wily indecorous imp, conceived in a phone booth, inconceivable, irredeemable. Willis is quoted as saying "For me, the play resonates personally and phonetically. Lawrence takes the familiar sounds of a family and turns them into a symphony of sorts."

Cast members Mike Daisy, Sydney Fine, P. Adam Walsh, and Deron Bos are all returning from the workshop cast.

Printer's Devil will be performing Horrible Child at The Richard Hugo House, 1634 11th Ave. in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. The Feb. 5 preview and Feb 12. performance are both offered as Pay-What-You-Can shows. For tickets ($10) call (206)860-7163.-- By David-Edward Hughes
