Horse Cave Theatre in Horse Cave, KY, now celebrating its 20th season, was proclaimed the State Theatre of Kentucky by the Kentucky State Legislature. The week ending June 29 was proclaimed Horse Cave Theatre Week in the Bluegrass State.

To mark the honor, Horse Cave has opened a production of the play Shadowlands, starring Warren Hammack as C.S. Lewis, and Pamela White as Joy Davidman.

Starting July 12, it will run in rotating repertory with the world premiere production of Desert Flower a comedy by Kentuckian Betty Peterson set in Desert Storm-era Kentucky. Ray Cooney's farce Run for Your Wife will join the repertory through Aug. 25.
