Houston's Alley Theatre will launch "Between the Lines", a new series of panel discussions, March 27 with Edward Albee. The program will run in conjunction with the Alley's presentation of the Albee double bill The American Dream and The Zoo Story.
The panel group includes three-time Pulitzer Prize winner Edward Albee and Dr. Sidney Berger, Director of the University of Houston School of Theatre. The one-hour discussion will begin at noon, followed by a buffet luncheon, a matinee performance of The American Dream and The Zoo Story and a "talk back" session with the cast and artistic team.
Upcoming "Between the Lines" programs will cover Moises Kaufman's Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde (April 10), George Bernard Shaw's Misalliance (May 22) and Tom Stoppard's Travesties (June 12).
This program is offered free to educators and open to the public for a ticket price of $30. Included in this fee is a copy of the script and a comprehensive teacher's guide. For reservation information, call the Alley's Department of Education and Community Outreach at (713) 228 9341.
