The 1995 stage adaptation of Victor/Victoria, about an out-of-work actress who becomes an overnight sensation when she moonlights as a female impersonator, will open the season Sept. 16-28. The Radio City Christmas Spectacular will follow Dec. 5-28.
The Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots, which features a score by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein, will play TUTS Feb. 10-22, 2015. The hit musical is directed and choreographed Jerry Mitchell.
A new national tour of the Andrew Lloyd Webber-Tim Rice musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, starring husband-and-wife couple Diana DeGarmo ("American Idol," Hairspray) and Ace Young ("American Idol," Grease), will be presented March 17-29. Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler will direct and choreograph.
TUTS will also present a resident staging of the Meredith Wilson classic The Music Man from May 5-17; followed by the national tour of the Tony-nominated revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, which has a new book by Douglas Carter Beane, running May 26-June 7.
As previously reported, TUTS Underground, which presents contemporary musical programming, will produce the regional premiere of the Off-Broadway musical Murder Ballad April 15-27, 2014. Additional programming for TUTS Underground will be announced shortly. More information can be found at TUTS.com.
