As she explores the Tucker Square Greenmarket, Mean Girls’ Ashley Park is glowing. For many Broadway performers, the summer provides the opportunity to flourish beyond their busy show schedules, soaking up all that the city has to offer. “Summer in New York is summer in New York. You know what it means when you’ve lived here. There is no way to really describe it,” says Park.
As the fall approaches, we look back on the summers of SpongeBob’s Ethan Slater, Mean Girls’ Park, Be More Chill’s George Salazar, The Lion King’s Bradley Gibson, Bandstand’s Laura Osnes, and The Band’s Visit’s Adam Kantor.
