Foster previously played the role in two prior stints on Broadway. The actor, who originated the role of Bobby Strong in Broadway's Urinetown, was also seen in the Kennedy Center's Mr. Roberts and Off-Broadway's Modern Orthodox. He earned a Tony Award nomination for his turn in the 2004 revival of Little Shop of Horrors and will be seen next at the New York Musical Theatre Festival in Party Come Here opposite Terrence Mann, Fyvush Finkel and Kaitlin Hopkins.
The Mel Brooks-Thomas Meehan musical comedy is directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman. Performances continue at the St. James Theatre.
