The movie will be released digitally in the U.S. September 23 on iTunes, Amazon and Vimeo, and will be available globally on WolfeOnDemand.com that same day.
Directed by Matt Kugelman, the film, according to press notes, “tells the story of a New York teacher who is fired from a small Texan school for being gay, and returns disguised as ’Bianca’ to wreak revenge on the town.” The movie also stars Rachel Dratch, Tony winner Alan Cumming, RuPaul, Margaret Cho, Bianca Leigh and RPDR alumni Willam Belli, Shangela and Alyssa Edwards.

Ash Christian produced the film, which was also funded through a hugely successful crowd-funding campaign, raising nearly $170,000 to assist in bringing the story to life.
“These are truly special days we live in—where a clown in a gown can make her very own drag queen revenge-comedy,” said star Del Rio. “However these are also days in which being LGBT can get you legally fired in 28 states. We wanted to tell a hilarious story that doesn’t shy away from that ridiculous reality, and we’re thrilled with the support it received from fans and from the incredible line-up of LGBT icons who I was forced to share screen time with. I can’t wait to share the film with fans at our premiere screenings, and for Hurricane Bianca to touch down in living rooms around the country on September 23.”
