News I Am I, Don Quixote: Robert Cuccioli is Man of La Mancha in NY, Nov. 29 Robert Cuccioli stars in the musical Man of La Mancha at White Plains Performing Arts Center starting Nov. 29.

Part of the Broadway Classics series at the White Plains, NY stage, the run plays through Dec. 16. Luke Yankee directs the production with choreography by Devanand Janki.

Based on the Miguel de Cervantes classic tale of "Don Quixote," the musical features a book by Dale Wasserman, music by Mitch Leigh and lyrics by Joe Darion. The score features "The Impossible Dream," "Dulcinea" and the title song, among others.

Joining Cuccioli in the cast are Rosena M. Hill (as Aldonza), Carlos Lopez (Sancho), Robert Ousley (Innkeeper/Governor), Sidney J. Burgoyne (Padre), Richard Todd Adams (Dr. Carrasco), Patricia Noonan (Antonia), Deborah Jean Templin (Housekeeper), David Villella (Barber), Tony Falcon (Pedro) and Derek Hanson (Anselmo).

Denise Estrada, Jason Kaplan, Yurief Rodriguez, Nandita Shenoy, David Simmons, Simon Trumble and Jamaal-Clark Turpin round out the cast.

Cuccioli was Tony Award-nominated for his turn in Jekyll & Hyde. Other stage credits for the actor include Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, Les Misérables and the Actors' Fund benefit concert of On the Twentieth Century. The design team for La Mancha includes Michael Hotopp (set), Carrie Robbins (costumes) and Thom Weaver (lighting).
