Mays will discuss his current role in I Am My Own Wife, Doug Wright's Pulitzer Prize-winning — and Tony-nominated — play at the Lyceum Theatre. Mays portrays several characters in the work, which explores the life of transvestite Charlotte Von Mahlsdorf, who survived both the Nazi and Communist regimes.
The broadcast will also focus on this week's Tony Award nominations. The editor of Playbill On-Line, Robert Simonson, and Variety's chief critic, Charles Isherwood, will take part in the Tony discussion.
Hosted by New York Post theatre columnist Riedel and producer Haskins, "Theatre Talk" airs late Friday nights at midnight on WNET/Thirteen.
