News I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change Celebrates A Decade Off-Broadway, Aug. 1 Off-Broadway's long-running I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change hits the ten-year mark Aug. 1 at The Westside Theatre.

New York City's West 43rd Street — where the musical plays — will be renamed "I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change Way" in honor of the anniversary.

The cast — Adam Arian, Anne Bobby, Ron Bohmer and Jodie Langel, who play the more than 60 roles in the scenes-and-songs show — will be on hand Aug. 1 at 6 PM in front of the Westside Theatre, at 407 West 43rd Street, to unveil the new street sign boasting the (albeit lengthy) title.

James Hammerstein Productions, Bernie Kukoff and Jonathan Pollard produce the work directed by Joel Bishoff which just reached its 4,000th performance March 14.

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change features music by Jimmy Roberts with a book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro. The musical comedy that delves into the world of dating, love and marriage is the longest-running musical revue in New York history, having broken the record set by Smokey Joe's Cafe.

The show's creators presented their second Off-Broadway offering, The Thing About Men, in the summer of 2003 at Off-Broadway's Promenade Theatre with Marc Kudisch, Ron Bohmer, Leah Hocking, Daniel Reichard and original I Love You... star Jennifer Simard in the cast. DiPietro was also the bookwriter for the Broadway musical All Shook Up, featuring the music of Elvis Presley. I Love You, You're Perfect has enjoyed success throughout the world, having opened in over 300 different cities including Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, Toronto, Chicago, London, Tel Aviv, Mexico City, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Budapest, Sydney, Prague, Seoul, Milan, Rio de Janeiro and Johannesburg.

The current record holder for longest Off-Broadway run, The Fantasticks (with 17,162 performances), looks to maintain its position in the annals of theatre history for some time. I Love You, You're Perfect marks the first time since Fantasticks that an Off-Broadway musical has reached decade-long status.
