News I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change to End Its Over-a-Decade-Long Run in July I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, which opened at the Westside Theatre Aug. 1, 1996, will play its final performance at the Off-Broadway venue July 27.

When it closes, the musical revue will have played a total of 20 previews and 5,003 regular performances, making it the second longest-running musical in Off-Broadway history. The Fantasticks holds the number-one spot.

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change features music by Jimmy Roberts with a book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro. The musical comedy that delves into the world of dating currently features Anne Bobby, Christy Faber, Jonathan Rayson and Frank Vlastnik.

James Hammerstein Productions, Bernie Kukoff and Jonathan Pollard produce I Love You..., which is directed by Joel Bishoff.

The musical has been mounted in more than 500 cities, has been translated into 12 languages and has received eight international Best Musical awards. I Love You has grossed a total of $200 million around the world.

A Chinese company of I Love You performed in repertory with the American cast at the Westside Theatre in May 2007. The production has also been the setting of several marriage proposals: Sixty-one men have proposed to their brides on the stage of the Westside Theatre during the show's run (all accepted the proposal).
