News I Love You, You're Perfect Team Bring New Musical The Thing About Men Off-Broadway A new musical from the creators of the I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change will soon see the New York boards alongside the long-running Off-Broadway hit.

Set to start in August at an Off-Broadway theatre, The Thing About Men features music by Jimmy Roberts with book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro. Mark Clements (Speaking in Tongues) will helm the production which has been in development for a number of years. I Love You, producers Jonathan Pollard and Bernie Kukoff will team up with Tony Converse to present the work. The Thing About Men — once simply Men — is based on the German filmmaker Doris Dörrie's 1985 movie "Männer" (Men). The plot finds a middle-aged man who moves out after discovering his wife is cheating on him. The spurned man then takes up residence with a roommate who happens to be "the other man."

No cast has been announced as of yet. A December reading held for the in-the-works musical featured a cast that included Marc Kudisch (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Christopher Sieber (Into The Woods), Michele Pawk (Hollywood Arms), Jennifer Simard (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change) and Daniel Reichard (Radiant Baby).
