Aaron Beall, who first directed the piece in the mid-1990s, is back at the helm, overseeing a cast of 23. (Beall also acts in the piece.) The story concerns the Arizona Aztechs, a fictional football team in America's Southwest. The star Latino quarterback, Icarus, is on the brink of stardom when he fall for the daughter of the team's owner, Aria. The union upsets everyone, including Icarus' Mafia-like family. Icarus and Aria had its premiere at the now defunct House of Candles in the Lower East Side, just around the corner from Nada, the semi-legendary black box theatre Beall ran for a decade.
