News Idina Menzel Adds Additional Tour Date to Concert Itinerary A new tour date has been announced for Tony Award winner Idina Menzel, who will will make her New York Philharmonic debut Feb. 5 at 8 PM at Avery Fisher Hall.

Newly added to the singing actresses' itinerary is an evening with the North Carolina Symphony at Raleigh's Meymandi Concert Hall March 31. Tickets go on sale to the public Jan. 24.

Previously announced tour dates follow:
Jan. 23 in St. Louis, MO, at Powell Hall
Feb. 3 in Red Bank, NJ, at the Count Basie Theatre
March 2 in Indianapolis, IN, at the Hilbert Circle Theatre
March 31 in Raleigh, NC, at the Meymandi Concert Hall
July 31 in Park City, UT, at the Deer Valley Outdoor Amphitheater
Oct. 14-16 in Houston, TX, at Jones Hall

Menzel won a Tony Award for Leading Actress in a Musical for her work as Elphaba in Wicked; she also opened the London production of that hit musical. Menzel created the role of Maureen in the original Broadway company of Rent, and her other theatrical credits include the City Center Encores! production of Hair, Manhattan Theatre Club's The Wild Party, the Public Theater's See What I Wanna See and the benefit Funny Girl concert. Menzel's screen credits include "Glee," "Ask the Dust," "Rent" and "Enchanted."
