News Idina Menzel Will Guest on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" Tony Award winner Idina Menzel, who will make her solo Carnegie Hall concert debut Jan. 13, 2013, will be a guest on the Dec. 12 broadcast of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

That day's guests will also include Howie Mandel and Tom Shadyac. 

Menzel, according to production notes, will tell "Ellen about life with Taye Diggs and their gorgeous family, as well as her brand new PBS concert event!"

The syndicated program airs in the New York metropolitan area on NBC, Channel 4, at 4 PM ET; check local listings.

Menzel won a Tony Award for Leading Actress in a Musical for her work as Elphaba in Wicked; she also opened the London production of that hit musical. Menzel created the role of Maureen in the original Broadway company of Rent, and her other theatrical credits include the City Center Encores! production of Hair, Manhattan Theatre Club's The Wild Party, the Public Theater's See What I Wanna See and the benefit Funny Girl concert. Menzel's screen credits include "Glee," "Ask the Dust," "Rent" and "Enchanted."
