Tony Award winner Idina Menzel, who made her New York Philharmonic debut in February at Avery Fisher Hall, will be seen at another famed performing arts venue this fall.

The award-winning singer-actress will play London's Royal Albert Hall Oct. 6 at 7:30 PM London time. She will be accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra under the baton of Tony-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch.

Menzel won a Tony Award for Leading Actress in a Musical for her work as Elphaba in Wicked; she also opened the London production of that hit musical. Menzel created the role of Maureen in the original Broadway company of Rent, and her other theatrical credits include the City Center Encores! production of Hair, Manhattan Theatre Club's The Wild Party, the Public Theater's See What I Wanna See and the benefit Funny Girl concert. Menzel's screen credits include "Glee," "Ask the Dust," "Rent" and "Enchanted."

According to press materials, she will perform a "a diverse repertoire of musical theatre and classic pop favorites" in the symphony concert. Her conductor Marvin Hamlisch is best known as the Broadway composer of such shows as A Chorus Line and They're Playing our Song, who also scored over 40 films including "The Way We Were," "The Sting" and "Ordinary People." He previously served as a musical director and arranger for Barbra Streisand's 1994 concert tour of the US and UK. He is currently principal pops composer for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Pasadena Symphony and Pops, Seattle Symphony and San Diego Symphony.
