News "Idol" Contestant Eliminated; Jordin Sparks Will Perform on Next Results Show "American Idol" finalist Jacob Lusk was eliminated from the nation's biggest singing contest May 5 after he received the fewest of America’s votes.

On the May 4 broadcast the Top 5 performed two songs from "now and then," and Lusk, 23, from Compton, CA, sang "No Air" and "Love Hurts."

On May 11 at 8 PM ET, the Top 4 finalists – Lauren Alaina, James Durbin, Scotty McCreery and Haley Reinhart – will perform the songs of American songwriting and producing duo Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller.

On the May 12 results show, which also begins at 8 PM, TV watchers can expect a performance by Season Six "Idol" winner Jordin Sparks, who made her Broadway debut in In the Heights, as well as the debut of a new video by singer and "Idol" judge Steven Tyler.

Among the many "American Idol" finalists and/or winners who have appeared on Broadway are Fantasia, Justin Guarini, Jordin Sparks, Diana DeGarmo, Ace Young, Tamyra Gray, Constantine Maroulis, Frenchie Davis, Clay Aiken and Taylor Hicks.
