In Rain, River, Ice, Steam, Rhonda is incredibly rich so much so, she has the ability to purchase anything she wants -- except the thing that she wants most: faith. When she learns of a small town hospital which was saved from a raging fire by a miracle rain - she instantly flies there. During her quest for truth, she encounters numerous residents of the town whose lives have been changed by the rain., including a man who sells the rain to tourists for $29.95 each.
The production, will feature an aquarium-like set formed out of more than 500 assorted jars of the "miracle rain", designed by Jack Magaw. The cast for Rain, River includes: Sarah Underwood, Cheryl Graeff, Karen Hammer, Lawrence MacGowan, Chaney Kley Minnis, Erin Philyaw, and Jason Wells.
Daniels' play premiered last spring at Moving Arts in Los Angeles, this production marks a Victory Gardens tradition where each year they find a playwright, outside their 12-member Playwrights Ensemble and give the "new talent" a major production.
