News Immersive, All-Night Macbeth to Play in East Tower in London A site-specific, immersive production of Macbeth will be presented by the theatre company Rift in an east London tower block, according to The Guardian.

The production, which will begin at 8 PM and conclude the following morning at 8 AM, will require audience members to go to bed after the first few scenes of Shakespeare's tragedy of ambition and murder are performed. Audience members will be visited by the play's characters throughout the night.

The evening will feature encounters with the witches and a meal with Lord and Lady Macbeth. The audience will wake for the final act at dawn.

The exact location of the production has not been revealed.

The production will begin performances the weekend of the summer solstice in June.

Rift has previously staged immersive productions of Shakespeare's The Tempest as a six-part pop-up installation in a store in London and Franz Kafka's The Trial, which was staged over two locations in East London. Visit macbeth.in for more information.
