News In the Heights' Chris Jackson to Release "In the Name of Love" R&B Album; Concert Planned Original In the Heights cast member Chris Jackson will release his new solo R&B album, "In the Name of Love," Feb. 15 on the Yellow Sound Label.

Jackson appeared as eager taxi driver Benny in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical In the Heights and was seen as Simba in the Broadway cast of The Lion King.

In addition to his work as an actor, Jackson is also a songwriter for "Sesame Street," and such artists as LL Cool J, Ne-Yo, Mario and Sean Kingston. "In the Name of Love" will feature a "soulful and melodic" collection of R&B songs, written and produced by Jackson. Songs on the album include "Be a Light," "One More Day" and the title track.

Jackson will celebrate the album's release with a Feb. 15 concert at the Canal Room at 8 PM. His special guests will be Arthur and the Geniuses.

"In the Name of Love" will be available for download on iTunes beginning Feb. 15. It will arrive in stores March 29. Jackson co-produced the album with Michael Murphy, Bill Sherman and Michael Croiter.
