In Trousers, the first installment in William Finn's "Marvin" trilogy, is finally set to be released on CD by Original Cast Records in early November.

The better-known second and third parts, March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland, were combined into the Tony-winning Broadway musical Falsettos.

The original cast LP of In Trousers has become a collector's item. Original Cast Records producer Bruce Yeko told Playbill On-Line that it is one of the "most requested" cast LPs.

The original cast of In Trousers includes Chip Zien and Mary Testa (currently in Forum on Broadway as Domina) and Joanna Green.

Falsettos used one song from In Trousers, "I'm Breaking Down." Alison Fraser's new recording of the song will be added to the CD as a bonus track. The CD will retail for $14.95

Composer/lyricist William Finn is currently at work on his new musical The Royal Family of Broadway, opening in April 1997 at Seattle Rep under the direction of Tommy Tune.
