LOS ANGELES -- On May 29, the Indecent Exposure Theatre Co. holds the world premiere of Mysteries in a Silver Box by Susan Rubin at Los Angeles Theatre Center. Inspired by the immigrant experience of a family of Russian Jews, the play follows the fortunes of five women to locate an aging mother who has run away from home. "Quickly they find themselves entangled in a web of lost lovers, foreign agents and family secrets," said a company spokesperson.
The ensemble under the direction of Laurel Meade features Ana Gabriel, Shareen Mitchell, Maureen McVerry, Denise Poirer and Wanda Christine. Peter Coyote and Lorraine Steinberg have contributed cameo voice-overs.
