Classic Arts News Indianapolis Symphony Benefit to Star Andr_ Watts and Sylvia McNair The Indianapolis Symphony will perform a concert on January 11, 2006, to benefit the orchestra and the Damien Center, a local AIDS treatment center.
Pianist Andr_ Watts and soprano Sylvia McNair will perform with the orchestra; former ISO music director Raymond Leppard will conduct.

The program will include Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf, Saint-SaêŠns' Piano Concert0 No. 2 with Watts as soloist, and Dvoršk's Legends Nos. 3 and 4 and Slavonic Dances Nos. 1 and 2. McNair, who has largely given up her operatic career to sing cabaret standards, will narrate Peter and the Wolf and perform other works that have not yet been announced.
