Joe Pasquale, Bonnie Langford and Todd Carty, all of whom appeared in the production during its West End stand, will reprise their roles as King Arthur, The Lady of The Lake and Patsy, respectively, for the initial run of tour dates through March 14. Further dates are booking through July 11 for which casting is still to be announced.
In a press statement, Pasquale commented, "I loved my time as King Arthur in the West End production. I am very excited to have been asked to return for the new UK tour. I will be joining a fantastic Spamalot cast and can’t wait to get back on my invisible horse as we search the land for The Holy Grail."
Pasquale, who has appeared in six Royal Variety Performances, has previously appeared on tour in The Producers, The Wizard of Oz and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead.
Langford commented, "Having played The Lady Of The Lake both on tour and in London, I’m thrilled to be able to slide into her sparkly gowns again in the 2015 tour that will bring Christopher Luscombe’s brilliant West End production to theatres across the UK for everyone to enjoy!"
Langford's career began aged just six when she won "Opportunity Knocks" before starring in TV series "Just William," the 1974 Broadway revival of Gypsy (alongside Angela Lansbury) and the film "Bugsy Malone." As an adult performer, her career includes starring roles in Chicago, Cats, Guys & Dolls and Dolly Parton’s stage version of 9 to 5. She came third in ITV1’s "Dancing on Ice" in 2006 and went on tour in 2007, before returning to the final series and U.K. tour. Carty is best known for his TV roles as Tucker Jenkins in "Grange Hill" and "Tucker’s Luck" and as Mark Fowler in "Eastenders." He appeared on the final series of ITV1’s "Dancing on Ice."
