Gemini follows Francis Geminiani, who returns from Harvard to his middle-class neighborhood. Francis, however, must face his macho father and tell him the truth about his own sexuality. A cast of unforgettable friends and neighbors populate Innaurato's moving comedy. Broadway veteran and recording artist Linda Hart (Hairspray, Gemini, Anything Goes) will star alongside Tony nominee Joel Blum (Show Boat, Steel Pier) for the NYMF production. Recent Boston Conservatory graduate Dan Micciche portrays Francis in the musical adaptation, which also features Bethe Austin, Kirsten Bracken, Jonathan Kay and Ryan Reid.

Mark Robinson directs with choreography by Rhonda Miller. The creative team features set design by Dana Kenn, lighting design by Philip Rosenberg, sound design by Duncan Cutler and musical direction by Christine Riley.

Innaurato has also been represented on Broadway with Passione. His other works include The Transformation of Benno Blimpie, Magda and Callas, Coming of Age in Soho, Gus and Al and Dreading Thekla.

Gemini composer Charles Gilbert has penned the musicals B.G.D.F. and A Is For Anything. His 1979 musical Assassins served as inspiration for the revolutionary musical of the same title by Stephen Sondheim.

The New York premiere of Gemini: The Musical will run Sept. 18–Oct. 1 at The Acorn Theater, located at 410 West 42nd Street in Manhattan. Tickets are available by calling (212) 352-3101 or by visiting www.nymf.org.
