News International Elphaba to Appear in Concerts in London and New York in Same Week Willemijn Verkaik, the only actress to have played Elphaba in Wicked in multiple languages, including appearances on Broadway, the West End, in Germany and the Netherlands, is to stage concert appearances in London and New York in the same week.

She will appear at London's Ambassadors Theatre Aug. 25, then at New York's 54 Below Aug. 27-28.

Accompanied by a live band and joined by still-to-be-announced special guests, she will perform songs from both classic and contemporary musicals and will celebrate some of the iconic songs that have defined her career so far.

As well as Wicked, she has also appeared in the West End in Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. In Germany, she has appeared in Aida and We Will Rock You. She voiced Elsa in the Dutch and German versions of Disney's animated film "Frozen." Recordings include the German cast recording of Wicked, and appearances on Scott Alan's albums "What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up" and "Live."

The appearances are being produced by Paul Taylor-Mills.
