News Interns Take Center Stage at NY's Ensemble Studio Jan. 2-5 Ensemble Studio Theatre will begin its 25th Anniversary Season by giving something back -- to the interns who've contributed their time and skills to help the small but influential company. Jan. 2-5, the theatre will will offer As The In-Terns, a festival of works created and performed by the 1996 E.S.T. 1996 Intern Company. Pieces will run the gamut of comedy, contemporary drama, original music and solos.

Ensemble Studio Theatre will begin its 25th Anniversary Season by giving something back -- to the interns who've contributed their time and skills to help the small but influential company. Jan. 2-5, the theatre will will offer As The In-Terns, a festival of works created and performed by the 1996 E.S.T. 1996 Intern Company. Pieces will run the gamut of comedy, contemporary drama, original music and solos. In its mainstage productions and annual one-act festival, E.S.T. has offered the works of David Mamet, Christopher Durang, David Ives, Richard Greenberg and John Guare, with performances by such stars as Rob Morrow, Sarah Jessica Parker, Mary Stuart Masterson and Lois Smith. Curt Dempster is the artistic director of E.S.T., Evangeline Morphos its executive director.
