The Tony Award-winning revival of the Stephen Sondheim-James Lapine musical gets the boot on 11 AM June 18, instead of the June 13 as originally announced.

Visitors to the Broadhurst are still going to have another Into the Woods flashback in the way of a gigantic shoe adorning the facade of the theatre, only they'll have to wait a little longer. The Tony Award-winning revival of the Stephen Sondheim-James Lapine musical gets the boot on 11 AM June 18, instead of the June 13 as originally announced. Artist Ann Slavits, who created the original 75-foot-long inflatable boot for Into the Woods' first run, has reengineered the sculpture for the Broadhurst, a smaller house than the Beck. Along with architects William and Elizabeth Murrell, she was able to alter her boot and rebuild a mural of woods for the edge of the Broadhurst's roof.

Much mayhem in the second act of Into the Woods is caused by a giantess seeking revenge on young Jack and his fellow storybook characters. Dame Judi Dench voiced the Giantess in the new Broadway revival.

Into the Woods won two 2002 Tony Awards for Best Revival and for Best Lighting Design.
