Let Me Try That Again: Take 6, an annual benefit for The Performing Arts Project, will be held at Feinstein’s/54 Below October 21 at 9:30 PM.
Hosted by Susan Blackwell, the evening will feature actors reliving their most embarrassing moments onstage and then redeeming themselves by re-creating that performance.
Currently scheduled to participate are Isaac Powell (Once On This Island), Elizabeth Stanley (On the Town), Betsy Wolfe (Waitress), and last year’s Redemption Belt winner, Krysta Rodriguez (Spring Awakening). Mary-Mitchell Campbell is the music director.
At the end of the evening , the audience will vote on the star performer who most redeemed him or herself.
“This benefit is to remind us all that we all have failed. And failed miserably; in my case in particular,” says event co-founder Steven Pasquale. “But it’s also to remind us about persistence, and focus, and moving forward. And about recognizing how important it is to not take ourselves too seriously. It will be a crazy fun night.”
The Performing Arts Project is a not-for-profit organization that provides theatrical training to a generation of young performers. Funds raised during this benefit will go directly towards scholarships and student programming.
