News Isabella Rossellini, Phyllis Newman and Victoria Clark Set for AMP Season The American Musicals Project — presented by the New-York Historical Society — will offer four starry evenings celebrating the work of notable Broadway composers.

According to the Project's official website, Isabella Rossellini and Simon Jones will co-host Kurt and Lenya in Their Own Words. The Feb. 5 concert, directed by Scott Alan Evans, will feature the talents of Alison Blackwell, John Jellison, Leah Hocking and Jeffry Denman. Lawrence Goldberg will be the musical director for the evening, which will feature songs from Knickerbocker Holiday, Lady in the Dark, One Touch of Venus, Love Life and Lost in the Stars. The performance will also feature excerpts from Weill and Lenya's intimate writings. Show time is 7 PM.

Tony Award winner Phyllis Newman will host The Brilliance of Bernstein Feb. 12 at 7 PM. The concert will feature interviews, live performances and excerpts from Leonard Bernstein's TV appearances. With direction by Jenn Thompson and musical direction by Douglas Coates, the evening will also include songs from On the Town, Peter Pan, Wonderful Town, Candide, West Side Story and 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue performed by Michael Halling, Natasha Harper and Nancy Johnston.

New York and Paris with Vernon Duke, set for Feb. 26 at 7 PM, will be hosted by theatre critic Howard Kissel and will feature the talents of George Dvorsky, Judy McLane, Jonathan Rayson and Jayne Paterson. Michael Rice will direct the evening, featuring musical direction by Pamela Hunt and such songs as "April in Paris," "Autumn in New York" and "I Can't Get Started with You."

Light in the Piazza Tony winner Victoria Clark will host and perform at the AMP annual gala. The March 5 evening, entitled George Gershwin's Songbook, will begin with a benefit reception at 6:30 PM, followed by the 7:30 PM concert. Scott Alan Evans will direct the fundraiser with musical direction by Linda Hall.
